About me !!!

My name's Izzy ! I'm a creative who likes all kinds of art ! I'm mostly being vague because I'm not entirely sure how I'd categorize the kind of creative I am 😭
I like to make music, draw, paint (on occasion), and I'm mostly always down to try new things !!

Even though I like things like making websites or writing music, I have a hard time being consistent. Not that it's something that I'm particularly concerned about, but I guess I get a lot more concerned about how that makes me look. I fight with a lot of self-confidence issues when it comes to creativity, and this website is my way of fighting back.
I hope that one day I can overcome this and be truly proud of myself !

Rapid fire fun facts !! Go !!

• I am trans ! I like to say im non binary (which is true) but I'm also trans feminine and swag.
• I have the sweetest tooth known to man. I think sugar will probably kill me. I occasionally try to fight it but if you wanted to lure me out to capture me just put out a bag of strawberry twizzlers and a box trap.
• Fighting is cool !! Well not like on it's own, I don't like conflict or like violence but fighting games and martial arts are so cool... I box every now and again and I play tekken and a few other games ! I sorta view it as exclusively play if that makes sense? The banter when I'm doing something silly in tekken, or reading someone's combination and just letting them know that you could have hit them are things that come to mind with that analogy.
• I'm from Bonaire! From as in I don't live there anymore, I moved abroad to the Netherlands for study. I don't like sharing too much info but I rarely see queer creatives my age out there. Not to say there aren't any, but moreso in the sense that I don't have many connections or people I can look up to who are like me. Whether that means trans people, musicians who make similar music or just like. idk. dorks? I miss hanging with dorks basically HAHAHA. But yeah! I hope putting myself out there will be a step to maybe inspiring more people to do the same.

About this website ...

I've been considering making a website for a while now, especially after getting burnt out of social media websites and the sort of attitudes required in maintaining/using them, so around december of 2024, I created this website !
My main goal with this website is to have a space where I can express myself freely while also having a comprehensive view of all of my works ! Sort of like a less serious portfolio? But if portfolios also had blog spaces and silly assets.
At the end of the day, my website is a space where expression is the main goal. To be completely honest, I do not like interacting with people online. I'm really bad with confrontations, and I can't gather the energy to argue or bicker with people. I used to be able to stomach it a bit more, but nowadays I'm very cautious of who I interact with and when. That's sort of the main reason I'm working on this website ! I just wanna have somewhere where it's cool to be me !

Seeing people's personal websites and viewing the art they make and the effort they put in the spaces where they are hosted is incredibly inspiring to me, and I hope I can continue to contribute my personal thoughts and projects to the same cause.
This website is also a bit of an attempt at learning the skills required to make a website! A lot of everything here is hand made, with anything not adhering to this rule being reverse engineering or googled!
I will never EVER use or advocate for the use of generative AI.

• Electric Bass: No clue, but I bought it off a friend. It's a blue P-Bass with the brand "DiMavery" on the head
• Acoustic Guitar: I have literally no clue as well, also got this one off a friend. There isn't even a brand. It's got screws in where they don't need to be. A real piece of shit. I love it. It's a Spanish/Classical though.

• Audio Interface: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
• Oh and this doesn't really count but I occasionally use my lovely girlfriend's electric drumkit ! idk what it is but it says Alesis on it
